Detailed Description

The casting structure as its wake caster sees it.

Nodes and panels are numbered from zero; a panel is a triangle of three nodes. State vectors are the global FhSim state vectors handed to PreOdeFcn.

◆ CableHydrodynamicForce()

virtual void net_wake::WakePanelSource::CableHydrodynamicForce ( double  T,
const double *  X,
double  force[3]
) const
inlinevirtual

The hydrodynamic force on the structure's cable elements (and the floats and sinkers on them) in the current flow, which the lumped source leaves out (QF9, MARE-0141). It is the cable force at the flow the cables see minus the cable force when the water follows each element, so the tension, the weight and the wave excitation drop out. A structure without cables keeps the default, zero.

Parameters
[in]TSimulation time, s.
[in]XThe state vector.
[out]forceSum over the cable elements, N, NED.

◆ EvaluatePanel()

virtual PanelEvaluation net_wake::WakePanelSource::EvaluatePanel ( const double *  X,
int  panel,
const double  elementVel[3],
const double  waterVel[3]
) const
pure virtual

Evaluates a panel's load law at a given panel velocity and free-stream water velocity.

Parameters
[in]XThe state vector; the panel geometry and solidity come from it.
[in]panelThe panel.
[in]elementVelVelocity of the panel, m/s, NED.
[in]waterVelFree-stream water velocity at the centroid, m/s, NED.
Returns
The panel load, the panel's area and the wake solidity (PanelEvaluation::solidity).
